Site Last Updated 2/5/08

We have long admired the LaMancha breed, with their easy going personality they reminded us of our Nigerians -minus the ears that is :o) -   We thank Aaron Carter of Heart-Mt-Carter-Kids with entrusting us with these lovely does, for being our mentor (in Lamanchas) and our friend.  This is the second year in a row we tested negative CAE.  All kids are raised on heat treated colostrum and pasteurized milk.

We have been please with Ashrah's udder, it's beautifully high and wide in the rear with lovely teat placement and medial, although overall she could benefit from more fore udder extension.  She has got a lovely long body with a pretty front end assembly.  She constantly gets positive comments on her rear udder height and front end assembly.

We will be repeating the High-5 breeding and keeping 1st doe, Ashrah may be available after she kids                Does $400

SD: Meadowlark Thea                                                        DD: Crazy Hollow Strawberry Creme                                          Jessica is Shelby's baby girl.  I think he made a great choice for his first Lamancha.  She is very strong in general appearance. She displays a long level topline, wide flat rump and beautiful pasterns.  She had a precocious udder as a yearling and has been slightly unbalanced since, but she still displays beautiful width both fore and rear, with a strong medial. Jessica was 3rd place aged senior doe at Houston Livestock Show 07.

Sugar  earned her AGS *D on a one day test milking 13.6 lbs total score 138.21 pts as a FIRST FRESHENER!

SD: Brega's Oreo's Ariel                                DD: Heart-Mt-Carter-Kids Sioux (2xGCH)                                            From the moment that she was born I knew this kid was special.  She just has always had a "look at me" attitude.  Earning her 1st RGCH at 3 weeks of age, and going on to earn her junior leg all at less than three months of age. We just took Sugar to her first show as a first freshener and she pleased us by taking 1st place in 2 rings & 2nd in another!  We are very pleased with her udder and how she is turning out.  She is a little milking powerhouse!  Sugar has beautiful lateral attachments, a well extended fore, plumb easily milked teats.  Her rear udder is high and wide, we have great expectations from this gal.  UPDATE: Sugar has been shown in 10 shows in 07 placing 7x1st, 3x2nd we couldn't be more thrilled!!
